Fresh air, twittering birds and unspoilt nature - that is stress relief at the heart of Mecklenburg. The hills and woods of this region have been shaped by the last ice age period. There is lots to see and do - not only on the water, but also in the surrounding countryside. You are invited to walk or cycle wherever you fancy and to discover the history of the area on your own. If interested, you can even explore this region on horseback. Sheltered coves, quiet marshes and hidden river banks are home to a rich fauna, such as beavers and kingfishers.
